Juniors

Boys and girls from Under 7s to Under 16s, plus the Beaches Breakers program.

Southern Beaches Junior Rugby is a proud and growing part of our club, providing boys and girls of all abilities with the opportunity to learn, play and develop their rugby in a supportive club environment.

In 2026, our junior program fielded 150 players across six teams from Under 7s through to Under 16s, with a clear goal of continuing to grow and ultimately field teams across every junior age group.

While winning is never the only measure of success, 2026 has been a particularly special season for our juniors. Our Under 13 Girls, Under 14 Boys and Under 16 Boys all progressed through to the semi-finals, demonstrating the talent, commitment and hard work being developed throughout our junior program.

Our Under 14 Boys enjoyed an outstanding season, finishing as minor premiers before going on to claim the major premiership, a fantastic achievement for the players, coaches and families involved.

But junior rugby at Southern Beaches is about more than results. It’s about creating lifelong friendships, developing confidence and resilience, learning the values of teamwork and respect, and giving young players a pathway to continue their rugby within our club.

We are committed to investing in our juniors, supporting our coaches and volunteers, and creating an environment where every young player can feel part of the Southern Beaches family.

Beaches Breakers

Beaches Breakers aims to provide young players with a fun, inclusive and positive introduction to rugby union (and sport in general), where every child feels welcome and involved.

The program focuses on building confidence, developing fundamental rugby skills and encouraging teamwork, while creating a strong sense of connection to the club and community.

Above all, our ethos is about enjoyment, participation and fostering a lifelong love of rugby union and sport, in a safe and supportive environment.
